What Kind of Podcast

Previously, we discussed podcasting for marketing and customer reviews . However, the purpose of your podcasting is really up to you. Keep in mind there are several kinds of podcasts. The technical terms describing the major kinds of podcasts are: 1. Solo podcast, 2. Podcast interview, 3. Multi-host show, and 4. Round table. Personally, I favor the last kind, the round table. It is the best format to hear multiple perspectives and there is greater room for meaningful discussion and debate. In the previous entry , we discussed the benefit of podcasting for advertising of products or services. But the beauty of podcasting is that it can be a double edged sword. It is absolutely critical for customers to have a keen sense of skepticism when being the target of an advertisement. Never blindly trust a message encouraging your to buy something if the source is the seller itself. Chances are someone else has already had experience with the product or service you intend to buy. Customer reviews are essential in determining whether you should commit your money. Podcasting allows customers to connect with each other and have those meaningful discussions which rate the pros and cons of any product or service. One of the most popular themes in podcasting by ordinary people on YouTube and other video sharing platforms is movie reviews. My favorite podcast for an in depth review of any cinematic release is We Hate Movies . With the cost of movie tickets for major blockbusters
